It involves the covering of teeth’s root surfaces that are exposed, with the implantation of an autogenous connective tissue that it is usually obtained from the palate. The roots are exposed due to different factors such as trauma caused by poor brushing, bruxism or teeth grinding, vestibular braces, orthodontic movements, etc. This technique is also applied for covering dental implants and for increasing peri-implant tissues, in order to improve their endurance.
